World number three Takahisa Fujinami was an unexpected visitor at the recent Pre 65 Scottish two-day trial. The ever-popular Japanese rider was briefly in the Scottish Highlands to film a promotional video – details of which are secret at this time - for this year's World Trial that will take place at Nevis Range, Fort William at the end July.

The exact nature of the video is not known yet and will only become apparent in the coming weeks, however Fujigas did give a brief insight to what we can expect. "The film is about me and Dougie and some very different challenges, but you will have to wait to see what it is all about and who wins."

During his visit to Kinlochleven, Fujinami typically entered into the spirit of the occasion and did not need a second invitation to get his first ride on a Pre 65 British bike. After a quick spin on Colin Dommett's BSA Bantham, the Japanese rider came back wearing a broad grin. "That's very different, and with the rear brake on the wrong side, it is almost impossible for me to ride – but I think it could be big fun to ride it in a trial." Laughed Fujigas.

Takahisa will be back in the Scottish Highlands, and will be joined by all the World's best riders for the UK round of the 2011 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship that will take place over the weekend of 30/31 July.

More details of the Fujinami vs Lampkin video will be released soon – so watch this space.
