It is with both regret and disappointment that L+M Events have announced earlier today that they will now not organise a round of the 2012 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship at Nevis Range – Fort William, Scotland next year as was originally planned. A combination of rising costs and the loss of vital funding from certain parties, in what remain difficult economic conditions has forced L+M Events to reconsider their position after having previously delivered five highly successful Trial Grand Prix events during the last decade.
Speaking on behalf of L+M Events – Jake Miller stated. "Obviously we are highly disappointed at having had to make this decision, but we are comfortable that we have made the right choice in the current economic climate. We would like to thank EventScotland and Highland Council for their pledge of 100% continued support and for assisting us in taking the World Championship back to Scotland over the last two years."
"We remain fully supportive of the World series, and we hope that in the future we may be able to organise another Trial Grand Prix event. In the meantime we are confident that we have left the British Trial GP in a very positive position from where another viable organiser can take over-from. We would like to note that we feel much of our success has been down to our incredible team of officials, observers and workers, without whom the events would have simply not run."

Miller ended by saying. "Finally we would like to thank the ACU and especially Brian Higgins for doing their utmost in trying to keep this project alive."
